Wander - Issue 1
Wander is about savoring the best of what cities can offer through the eyes of its locals. Celebrating popular establishments and well-loved small shops to seeking out wonderful surprises, we are on the lookout for rich and unique experiences.
We share their secrets, suggestions, favorites, and present a way of life. Wander features beautiful maps, interesting facts, and insightful itineraries for a fun journey around the city. Do you believe in coincidence? Before we formed Wander, we have a dream of coming up with a micro-guide that features different parts of Metro Manila. We even started some drafts for it - from color, type, illustration and art direction. Problem is, we don't have the copy and the text that will support our idea. Then one day, we met Kissa from Preview / Elle Decor Philippines for a shoot here in our studio for a feature (Charles Buenconsejo did the superb job of our photos). On the interview part, we mentioned that we have a long-time plan of coming up with a free magazine, then Charles and Kissa look at each other and said they have that plan brewing along with Dan Matutina and Dang Sering which to our surprise because we are good friends with them. So that's it! We merged and thought of a name that best represents our ideas and corresponded via email. We meet at random days to talk about the content and the tone that we wanted to put out on the public. Luckily, we've met 5-Ports Publishing to handle the printing of this free micro-guide, which makes it more exciting!
After 8 months, here it is! It will be available on certain establishments. Follow us via instagram to know the specific locations - @wanderph
