In Love and War - Francis Magalona & Ely Buendia
After the long wait, our album packaging design for Ely Buendia the late Francis Magalona is now available at the record stores entitled "IN LOVE AND WAR". A collaborative album featuring 10 tracks with Pupil, Gloc 9, Hilera, Radha and many more!
We wanted to take the visual approach and overall concept to something that's not too heavy, since the album title is already strong. We used elements that would represent both love and war - a tin-can heart and toy soldiers which are both contradicting element that we wanted to be combined. There is a lot of possibility when it comes to the representation of the elements which makes it more interesting. You can take it literally (toys inside a container) or it can be conflicts related to emotions that you keep hiding....We also decided to just use the color white to make it more atmospheric, airy and focused more on the "love" and "war" aspect.
